Matilda A-11 tank 28mm

This is a remix of one of Tiger Ace's fantastic files. This is an early war British A-11 Matilda. Unlike its later counterpart, the "Queen of the Desert" A-12 Matilda, this tank has no connection beyond its name. The A-11 was developed in the mid-1930s under extremely tight financial constraints, and it was the largest tank that could be built within the £6000 limit per tank proposed. It saw action in France 1940 as part of the BEF, then those not lost in France were used to prepare for Operation Sea Lion. I took this file, expanded it to 28mm, made the tracks separate files and added assembly "nubs" on the hull, which match recesses I created inside the tracks. Notice the short run of fender on the track runs to the rear. These tanks were small; they had just 2-man crews and stood only 1.8 meters tall, so don't be misled by the finished product thinking the scale is off.
