Mathis Adjustable Smartphone & Tablet Stand
thingiverse
UPDATE While I had great result printing my own files, others unfortunately didn't and thus I will go back and change the male part to guarantee an easy fit. You may have to print the male part slightly smaller (includes all current versions) in order to make the parts fit together. Old Description This stand should work with all kinds of smartphones and up to 10'' tablets. I tested it with a Galaxy S3, iPhone 4s, iPad Air and iPad Mini. It is adjustable in steps of 30° (Pi/6 if you use radians). If you have a really thick tablet or a thick smartphone with case you might want to consider using the version with the larger hook. Important & Change Log: I replaced the two male files with one: V3_1Male includes a resized gear (male part) at 96% of the previous version so both parts fit together easily. In case you downloaded the V3 male part (This does not apply to the female part): "If you fit the gear into the counterpart for the first time, start by pushing it in a little and pull it out gentally, then push it in a little more and repeat. This prevents breaking the parts. I printed the stand at 95% scale, both parts seperatly." Recomended settings: Recommendations Material: PLA Temp: Will vary, but I used 195 for the first layer and 195 for the rest Layer height: 0.2mm, but 0.3 should also work Perimeters: 3 Top & Bottom Layers: 3 Infill: 30% or more Brim: at least 4 perimeters Support: No Units are in mm (of the file).
