This Steam-powered PC sports a design inspired by http://www.materiel.net/, while remaining sleek and avoiding the "VCR syndrome" seen in most HTPCs, gaming consoles, and routers. The 10x30x50cm case accommodates microATX motherboards, 29cm-long, dual-slot GPUs, SFX PSUs, and houses six 2.5-inch drives, expandable via 15x15x3cm external cases with 3.5-inch slots and SATA2>USB3 adapters or slim ODD slots with Sataslim>USB adapters. The logo from materiel.net illuminates upon power-up, the power button glows when an internal drive is accessed, and each external case sports its own activity LED. The "War Machine" moniker pays homage to both Steam's machine concept and the adage, "It takes a war machine to run that game."
