The first collaboration of Project Materialize is with photographer Sydney Sie, who, along with the Atom Design Team, has made striking dioramas that showcase various forms and ways of life. In her photos, Sydney Sie uses color, light, and shape to rapidly accelerate viewers into abstract universes of thought. With "Project: Materialize" ,Atom has consistently supported artists and designers, creating a machine that is both easy to use and delivers impressive results. Introduction - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Project Materialize is an experimental way to show art. By making a physical, 3D landscape the art surpasses emotions and becomes a rational argument. Technology is helping artists break free from historic limitations as artists no longer have to be confined to traditional craft techniques to create intricate objects. The goal of project materialize is to demonstrate that 3D printers are not limited to just engineering professionals but can trigger a perfect blend of the physical and spiritual. After working with the Atom Design Team, Sydney Sie decided to use 3D models to “make the impossible happen,” adopting a surrealistic approach to dioramic photography.
