This is my method for maintaining a concise and straightforward overview of my filaments. The small cards provide me with a much clearer idea of how the printed material will appear when it's printed. They take up significantly less space than keeping all the little Benchys, making them more efficient to use. The three steps may give you an indication of what the material looks like when illuminated from behind. You can place the cards in the holder or attach them to a small chain. There is a file available for sample cards and separate files for PLA, PETG, and ABS holders. Update: I corrected the measurements of the holder and added a version without text.
