Matek M8Q-CAN Battery Strap Mount

Matek M8Q-CAN Battery Strap Mount

thingiverse

This was designed for my GepRC Crocodile Baby (4 inch long range). The included AIO flight controller/ ESC stack does not have a barometer and compass which is required for autonomous flight in iNav. By upgrading to the Matek Sys M8Q-CAN, GPS/ barometer/ compass can be provided through MSP. This replaces the existing GPS unit which (on my model) is also mounted on the battery strap. Please add some cloth/ packing foam to the bottom of the board to dampen any air across the barometer. This will provide enough friction to keep the GPS unit in place. If you decide not to use any dampening material, the GPS unit can be secured with with hot glue. There will be some programming and rewiring involved in doing the conversion. I will endeavour to provide guidance once I have completed this. This is currently a work in progress and any feedback would be appreciated. Weight (PLA+) including GPS unit is 17 grams (original mount + GPS is 10 grams)
