Instructions for Connecting Two Sections of Matchbox Car Track Designing custom connectors was a challenge, but the end result exceeded expectations. A friend from work commissioned me to create a few of these adapters for his kids' high-speed race track set. Originally designed for durability and ease of use, the adapters quickly proved themselves worthy in high-stress situations. Unlike the original connectors, which frequently separated when cars sped over them, these new adapters withstood the pressure, keeping the track intact even after repeated passes. Setting Parameters: Layer Height and Speed For a smoother print and increased detail, I used a .08 layer height, resulting in exceptional resolution on all aspects of the part. My standard speed setting was around 45 mm/s. Considering the results, this is more than suitable for high-performance printing tasks. Printing time was roughly 2 hours, including both sections. To streamline production and achieve equal quality, increasing layer thickness to .1 should still yield outstanding results without added complexity.
