Matchbox-Handle

I Convert an Empty Matchbox into a Small Storage Space for Various Handworking Tools Such as Needles. To achieve this, I design two distinct patterns: Symmetric and Asymmetric. The former is suitable for a single matchbox, while the latter can accommodate multiple matchboxes. This project is particularly well-suited for Summer Holiday Workshops, where children can engage in hands-on activities. For the materials needed, I purchase new matchboxes in packages of ten for approximately 0.40 euros each. To begin, I remove the matches from their containers and store them safely away in a fireproof location such as a fireplace. Next, I carefully place the empty matchbox into a designated storage area to prevent any damage or loss. To transform the matchbox into a functional storage unit, I apply glue paper in three different directions around the box, leaving the front side exposed. For this task, I use "UHU-Alleskleber" for general applications and reserve "UHU-Hart" for more extreme situations that require added durability. Once the glue has dried, I can proceed to attach a handle to the matchbox using "UHU-Alleskleber" or "UHU-Hart," depending on the level of adhesion required. It is essential to work in a well-ventilated area when using these products to avoid any adverse health effects. The entire process takes into account the time it takes for the glue to dry, ensuring that the handle remains securely attached to the matchbox.
