Masu boxes, once used to measure out rice, were highly valued due to the preciousness of this commodity. These denominations even became a form of currency in their time. Now, masu are used primarily for decorative purposes and also in the ritualistic pouring of sake. Two sizes are included in this listing: extra-large (isshou) and standard. The standard masu measures approximately 8 cm x 8 cm x 4.5 cm. The extra-large masu measures around 18 cm x 18 cm x 9 cm. If you plan to use this product with food, it may be wise to consider a food-safe filament to prevent contamination.
