Developed as part of pilot testing by Croatia's top scientific institution, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in collaboration with the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. A significant anatomical find was made - an extremely well-preserved upper third molar from a gomphother, discovered in a gravel pit near Budanica in Croatia's Podravina region. The site where this remarkable fossil was unearthed had been exploited for building materials and road construction during the 1950s and 1960s.
