This ancient mastodon molar was meticulously scanned in 3D with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at the Valley of the Mastodons workshop and conference, hosted by the Western Science Center (http://www.westerncentermuseum.org/) in August 2017. The fossilized tooth originated from the Yukon region and was graciously provided to the Western Science Center by Yukon Paleontologist Grant Zazula, who had collected it from the Yukon Beringia Interpretative Center (http://www.beringia.com/). Specimen number: YG 139.5. A special thank you is extended to the Yukon Beringia Interpretative Center for allowing its use.
