This impressive mastodon molar was meticulously scanned in 3D using a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at the Valley of the Mastodons workshop and conference, hosted by the Western Science Center (www.westerncentermuseum.org) in August 2017. The molar originates from the Yukon and was generously provided to the workshop by Yukon paleontologist Grant Zazula, who had brought it from the Yukon Beringia Interpretative Center (www.beringia.com). Specimen number: YG 43.2. The Yukon Beringia Interpretative Center kindly allowed its use.
