Masterspool - Spool recycler for Das Filament Spools

Hey guys, Let's face it, buying filament on spools each time is a waste of money and plastic. We can easily recycle used spools by refilling them with new filament. This bayonet coupler makes it possible to reuse your old spool and never need to buy filament on spools again! Just print these two parts and cut your used "das Filament" Spool into two halves. You're ready to go! Here's how to refill: Put the coupler through one side of the spool, making sure the arrows point in the same direction as the spool spins on your printer. Then put the refill and the other half on it. The final step is to lock the bayonet. I designed this bayonet spool coupler specifically for das Filament refills: https://www.dasfilament.de/filament-refill/ Important notes: Make sure your spool holder has a width of 68mm or more. This design doesn't shrink the diameter of the spool hole and doesn't add any circumference to the outer diameter of the core, so the functionality of your original spool remains intact. WARNING UPDATE: I've contacted "DAS Filament" and they told me that their refills have a slightly smaller inner diameter (about 2mm) than their injection-molded spools. This might cause some issues with the refill not fitting perfectly on printed master spools. I'm still waiting for my order, so I can't make any statements about this yet. Two days ago, I updated the levers on the locking mechanism. Check out the pictures above - the compressed view is annoying, I know! When printing this design initially, I ran into similar problems. You've got two options: either reprint the locker ring (which takes about 1.5 hours) without supports or file down the hooks of the levers until they fit. Maybe it's easier to just reprint the updated locking ring anew.
