Masterspool for Small Printers
thingiverse
I found 3D Solutech's MasterSpools on Amazon and I was sold on getting name brand filament for 25% off. When I downloaded the MasterSpool STL from their site, much to my dismay, it was 200x200mm!!! I already ordered a spool, so what was I going to do? Remix it, of course. Design for the cores goes 100% to 3D Solutech. Thanks to them for providing the model in the first place!!! These files contain everything you'll need to print out a functional MasterSpool on a small print bed (120x120mm). The "Short Core" and "Short Core Sides" go together perfectly. Likewise, the "Long Core" and "Long Core Sides" fit together seamlessly. Just print out one each of the cores and four each of the sides. I used Loctite Gel Control super glue to put mine together quickly and easily. You might want a gap filler super glue like Zap-A-Gap, but I didn't have any on hand. I hope this helps out the smaller printer community greatly.
