Master Sword - Breath of the Wild Edition

After missing out on the amazing Breath of the Wild - Master Edition, I had an epiphany: I could simply create my own! I drew inspiration from the stunning statue included in the Master Edition, but my replica is far from perfect. I used Davidikes' design for the blade (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:282800) and crafted the base myself. The sword model was cut in half for easy printing with no supports required. It also features a square end instead of a traditional point, making it easier to insert into the base and giving the illusion that the blade slices through it. The base insert has a .25mm tolerance, but it was still snug even after sanding. I shared three images: the first two show my painting skills in action, while the third is a fresh print with no post-processing done. My painting abilities are still developing, and I didn't calibrate my machine thoroughly before printing this intricate design, so it looks a bit rough, but it fits with the theme perfectly! I'm excited to see how awesome this will look with some real painting skills. Thanks for checking out my project! Update 3 (8/9/2017): After dealing with a computer issue and fearing the loss of my original file, I've uploaded a revised base that better fits the entire sword, complete with a point. The slot on the sword tapers in, is 20% wider, and 30% taller than before to maintain the correct scale. Update 2 (4/2/2017): At your request, I added two new halves of the Master Sword with the point intact. Please note that I haven't tested this version, so it may not fit in the base perfectly. Update 1 (1/22/2017): I've included a new file called 'Sizer' that features the same cutout as the base but is much smaller and quicker to print. This will allow you to find the correct size for your printer without having to print multiple bases. Printer Settings: Printer: DaVinci XYZ 1.0A Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1mm for sword, .3mm for base Infill: 10% for both Notes: Given the small size of the sword, I printed it at an exceptionally low speed to give each layer extra time to cool.
