Mast head for Brother knitting machines with spot for the garter carriage sensor
thingiverse
This part is designed for the top of the tension rod on Brother knitting machines. It attaches to the mast and the tensioner fits snugly into a slot, securely locking into place. A square hole allows you to attach the sensor for the garter carriage with ease. This component is notoriously prone to breaking and has become increasingly difficult to find original replacements, especially considering its importance in accommodating the garter carriage sensor. When creating this part, I took inspiration from the original design but made some key adjustments to make it more robust. I carefully fitted it onto my Brother 940 knitting machine to ensure that any extra material wouldn't interfere with the tension mast's operation or the garter carriage sensor.
