I recently encountered a frustrating issue with a painful muscular inflammation. Utilizing a massage roller proved helpful, but the one I had was cumbersome and clumsy to use. Its uncomfortable handle caused my fingers to cramp up severely. What I desperately wanted was a massage roller that would comfortably fit in the palm of my hand without requiring any grip strength. The result is the innovative device depicted in the pictures, which I am extremely satisfied with. I have an intense aversion to squeaky objects, so I opted for ball bearings for the roller wheels. Conveniently, I had ssl1790zz (9x17x5) bearings on hand, which I utilized effectively. Although these bearings are undoubtedly over-specified for a massage roller, they worked out fantastically. To keep costs in check, I created alternative versions of the STL files for affordable f608zz (8x22x7) bearings. While I haven't printed this version yet, it should function admirably. Searching for f608zz on eBay yields numerous options; however, some sellers attempt to pass off standard 608zz bearings as f608zz, so verify that there is a flange at the top of the bearing before making a purchase. Every component is designed with snap-fit functionality in mind, eliminating the need for glue or screws. I developed three distinct wheels that fit within the shell. The curved wheel is printed as two separate parts that are pressed together, while the other two wheels are printed as single components. The bearings are simply pressed into place, and the fit should be snug. Before inserting the bearings, clean the hole slightly to ensure a smooth fit. The shell consists of two identical parts that snap together around the roller, securely holding it in place.
