More Matt Dixon here: https://www.mattdixon.co.uk/ Transmissions Transmissions is personal work that allows me to explore feelings and emotions that might be difficult to express in other ways, while indulging my fondness for painting rusty automata. It began in 2006 as a single image. Months later, while organising a portfolio of work, I realised that I had returned to the subject several times and that all the robots appeared to inhabit the same world. I like to visit that world whenever I can. I do not understand the robots or the place they reside. Each image is an opportunity to reveal something new about them and their world, and that sense of exploration and discovery is part of what keeps me returning to the work.
