I no longer think this design promotes mold by constant immersion. A water wick-based design seems superior to me. This planter was specifically designed for a standard 7cm wide "wide mouth" mason jar. It should fit other types of wide-mouthed mason jars, including the one shown in the photo. The plant reaches down inside the container to 145mm. I used ABS because I had some on hand and it won't decompose. PLA would probably work too, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up after a year since it's slightly biodegradable when wet and exposed to sunlight.
