mason jar lid with bulkhead hole
thingiverse
This is for a standard or wide-mouth ball jar. It has a 22mm hole in the center to allow the addition of a bulkhead. I bought [these bulkhead fittings](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079KQ557Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) for 3/8" OD vinyl tubing. I crush comb to extract honey and rely on keeping as few tools around as possible (I live in an apartment with limited storage). One end of the tubing is attached to a bucket (via one of the bulkheads) that contains all of the crushed comb. The other end, I printed this ball jar lid, attached the bulkhead and screwed in place on a ball jar, so that I could attach the tubing and allow the honey to flow down into the jar. I let gravity do the rest, though in the future, I'll probably print a peristaltic pump to move the honey along faster.
