Mason Jar Lid Vacuum Sealer Adapter Wide Mouth

This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4758070 , but for some reason, i can't link directly to it. This fits all standard "Wide Mouth" mason jars. To use this, you will need a gasket of some sort that matches the Inner Diameter gap of 3.25 Inches, or 82.6 mm. I personally used a toilet flush valve seal, as it was the thing that fit best. Link here: www.menards.com Item # 6642270 . I'm sure any other similar product will work, but this is what I found 'Off the Shelf' as it were, that suited my needs. 1: place gasket onto desired jar, just above the solid rim below the screw interface. 2: Place lid on desired jar. 3: Screw adapter onto the jar until it goes down far enough to press against the gasket, creating a good seal. 4: Place your vacuum hose adapter into the hole on the plastic adapter, and turn on your machine. 5: Wait for your machine sound to change, and for it to automatically stop applying vacuum pressure. 6: Remove vacuum accessory, vacuum adapter and gasket. 7: Congratulations! You have now vacuum sealed something into a mason jar! Disclaimer: This process works best with dry goods, liquids can be done, but it must be something that DOES NOT require standard canning methods where use of water bath or pressure is needed. Disclaimer: The picture with water shown is for example purposes only, to demonstrate that a vacuum has been created.
