Mason Jar Japanese Beetle Trap
thingiverse
This is a Japanese Beetle Trap. I designed it because existing options on the market just don't cut it for me. I don't want to have to buy a new bag every time I need a trap, so this one will use a Wide Mouth Mason Jar - you can paint it green if that's your style - to collect the beetles. I haven't printed this yet because I'm currently out of plastic. My plan is to print it in green, then mask off the funnel and paint the fins yellow. There are slots on the fins for readily available bait packets. Three files are included: one with both pieces if you have a printer big enough to handle them, and the other two with the pieces split out into individual files. This is my first public design, so be gentle. Post-Printing The two pieces can be attached together using the 4 holes provided and 4 screws and nuts. I'm assuming that they could also be glued together.
