Mason Jar Fermentation Lid
thingiverse
I'm gearing up to take my fermentation experiments to the next level. To create a vessel for it, I combine this design to fit snugly into a wide mouth mason jar. Fill the jar with water to the line on the cone, secure it at the bottom with a rubber band and clamp it down tightly with a jar band. It's crucial to use food-grade plastic or risk contaminating your entire batch. This setup works perfectly for pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi, and many other fermented delights. With supports printed only around the bottom, everything else prints smoothly. My printer settings were optimized at .3 layer height and 10% infill.
