This setup effectively transports all fine dust and formaldehyde gas outside, utilizing a 2" exhaust repair pipe that securely connects to my vacuum's exhaust without requiring additional fastening. The press fit ensures a snug connection, eliminating the need for extra securing measures. While this system can capture most sawdust particles, it is unable to trap the formaldehyde gas generated by the plywood processing. This setup also significantly reduces the noise level of the vacuum. I created two collars, positioning one inside and one outside the frame for a tight seal. The exterior end features wire mesh as a deterrent against mice. Although screw holes are present in the collar, I choose not to utilize them. My vacuum is positioned directly behind the frame in the middle. By integrating this setup with the tighter router base I previously mentioned, the environment within my shop has undergone significant improvement, particularly around my Maslow machine's location.
