Maska SCH Russian Military Helmet (FIXED!)
thingiverse
This is my model of the Maska SCH helmet, a helmet used in the Russian Forces. The easiest way to print this is to print the helmet upside down with supports. The visor can be printed on the bottom flat surface with supports. This helmet is quite large, you'll need a machine like the CR10 to print this in one piece, I have a CR10V3 which handled it quite well. I recommend using a larger nozzle for a faster print, 0.5 or 0.6 nozzles should work well, and a 0.4 or 0.3mm layer height is what I recommend. Make sure that your bed is nice and sticky and that the first layer adheres well, I HIGHLY recommend you use a skirt to improve bed adhesion and up your chances of having a successful print, instead of a big stringy mess and layer shifts. The Helmet took about 1 day to print, and the visor also took that long. It is quite large already so you shouldn't need to scale it. Connect the helmet and visor together using an M8 Nut And Bolt, you can superglue the bolt to the nut if you want it to stay in place really well. Good Luck Printing, and be sure to post your makes of the helmet! EDIT: Hey everybody! it seems that the helmet model that i gave you had a flaw in it, i put it through netfabb and now it is fixed, good luck printing!
