Mask X-Strap
grabcad
X-strap Designed for use with various face masks to alleviate ear strain. When printed with flexible filaments, it can be used as a substitute for elastic straps since the strap itself has some degree of stretch. The length and width of this 'X' Shape have been carefully designed to eliminate all contact with the ears, unlike most strain reliefs which only relieve the back or bottom of the ears, leaving the top to bear increased pressure. Three separate configurations allow for various use scenarios. The holes enable straps to be tied directly or other printed inserts to be assembled, while the lances permit straps to be "hooked" on. This strap is still a work in progress, and as of this post, I have not yet printed a sample for testing. Updates will be provided as I continue. All original design files are included for anyone who wishes to modify them. STL Files can also be accessed at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4269910
