I've taken the silicon route, but getting it right wasn't easy - I finally found Amos I clay that dries into a soft foam which works amazingly well. I covered the front with duct tape and couldn't breathe at all. It's especially difficult to get a good seal if you have a beard, even a short one. I spray-painted it with two coats of undercoat, two coats of black paint, and two coats of sealant to make sure any microscopic holes in the layers were sealed. A template is included to cut out the shape of the filters. I've also included quick hook clips for 10mm elastic thread through the back slot, then down through the middle, up through the front, and finally down through the back slot, which will prevent it from slipping. (Print at 100% infill at .20 takes 18 minutes for two sets.) This print works is designed for a Food-Safe 100% Silicone Seal, taking a one size fits all approach. The seal is nearly perfect, and comfort is fantastic. I explain the whole process in this video: https://youtu.be/gwOZ_gwkojg Wearing this mask without doing a silicone pour would be extremely painful. The silicone is required. Read this! I'm not able to scientifically test my designs, so I make no claims about their functionality. This mask hasn't been approved by any regulatory body - if you print and wear one of these in any situation, you'll be taking a risk on your own.
