### Mask valve with side airflow **Remember that you should wear mask in places with lots of people. This thing is designed to allow you to breath easier in rural areas. It prevents the mask fabric from fast moistening.** Redesign of original valve by [setar](https://www.thingiverse.com/setar). Visit that design to get more pictures. Original valve does not redirect the air coming out of the mask. The point of wearing a mask during pandemic is to protect others from our own breath, so we can't just eject air in front of us. This design redirects air downwards, it works somewhat like a face shield - air simply can't flow forward. --- To use this valve you would have to cut a circular hole in your mask. Insert the valve flap onto the base, snap in the cap and insert whole thing into mask hole. Screw the nut from other side, make sure it's tighten nicely to prevent tearing of the fabric. Use circle made out of thin, flexible foil as a valve flap. Valve should not allow you to inhale any air through it. Try different materials for flap to get best leak tightness. Use tiny drop of glue in the center of the flap to make sure it can't move sideways. This thing includes stl files for new cap and modified base.
