mask strap
thingiverse
This is a back-of-the-head, mask strap holder designed for around-the-ear protective masks. It features a simple print and minimal thickness, yet prints in just 12-14 minutes per part. I specifically engineered this design to maximize production volume while minimizing print time on a single machine. To use it, take an unfolded paper clip and thread it through the slot corresponding to your preferred post. Next, feed the ear loop into the paper clip and gently pull it through until you can secure the loop onto the post. This setup holds remarkably well, making it easier to put on masks without struggling to maintain tension on one side. Simply move the mask around your head and hook the other loop over a symmetrical feature. Edit 4/12/2020: Scaling up this design by 5-8% will make it even easier to feed loops through the slots, improving overall usability.
