Mask strap efficiency - covid 19 mask buckle
grabcad
This is my take on a strap for face masks. The part is created by printing a set, then connecting with any filament which will also determine its width. This reduces the filament needed for a single print to make face masks more comfortable for medical workers treating coronavirus patients. Small bars on either side of the plastic buckle keep the elastic tight behind the mask-wearer's head, so it doesn't put painful pressure on their ears. Face masks are a crucial part of protecting front-line medical workers from contracting coronavirus, but wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for an extended period can be extremely uncomfortable for the wearer.
