My wife is a local care worker who's issued with elastic disposable masks. She quickly discovered that they wouldn't stay in place properly, bunching up on her face and leaving gaps at the cheeks. Determined to solve this problem, she asked me to come up with a simple solution. I designed a retainer that would keep the mask in place while also reducing pressure behind the ears.
