Mask Relief / Ear Saver

Mask Relief / Ear Saver

thingiverse

After printing this mask I realized that I didn't have any elastic and had to use paracord I had on hand. This was quite uncomfortable for my ears, so I created this modification to attach the straps behind my head. It should work with any 5mm or smaller cord, whether it's elastic or not. Due to its size you might need to extend the cord to fit properly. This design allows for some flexibility in the straps, which is different from most mask extenders out there, but at a cost of significantly longer print times. If your goal is to help others, don't bother with this. This modification provides only slightly improved comfort. The nonremovable version should have one strap pass through the hole, making the piece permanently attached. The removable version simply clips onto both straps behind my head. A F3D file is included for anyone who wants to make changes or improvements, such as adjusting the length or hole sizes.
