This part is intended to both prevent the mask from being sucked into the mouth during an inhale as well as prevent glasses from fogging during an exhale while wearing a cloth mask. THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO BE WORN WITH N95 OR MEDICAL GRADE MASKS, since it may reduce the effectiveness of the mask. This part may help for activities such as going to the gym with a cloth mask. It clips tightly to and stays on the mask even when the mask is taken off. This part should take about 5 to 10 minutes to print on most 3D printers, depending on your settings. I have had success printing this in PLA, though other materials may work. Ensure that materials are ductile enough to not snap when bent in Step 1 below. Instructions for using it appear below. Also see the attached images or the instruction sheet attached. Also attached is the original FreeCAD .FCStd model. Instructions to use the 3D printed muzzle master (a.k.a. shnoz saver, a.k.a. mask breather nose clip). 1) Once printed, hold the flat finished print with the flattest side (that was touching the build plate) away from you, and press the inner parabolic section away from you so that it makes a sharp bend near the bottom. (See picture) 2) Pull the fabric of your mask through the clips such that the (bent) inner parabolic section is inside the mask pointing away from the wearer, while the outer parabolic section is completely outside the mask. (See picture) 3) Adjust the position of the clips on the fabric as necessary to fit your face. (See picture) Notes: a. You need to leave a surprising amount of fabric around the nose area, since your nose will stick out through the part and the fabric has to go around your nose. b. The inner parabolic portion goes below (and not touching) your nose. It serves to keep the mask away from your mouth as you inhale. c. If you feel that the part pinches the sides of your nose, try a size bigger. I find that the 36mm wide version is good for my nose, but noses vary in size. d. This clip should bring the top of the mask slightly closer to your face to help avoid glasses fogging when exhaling. e. If this part is laser cut, ensure that the material is pliable enough to be bent at the bottom (step 1), yet rigid enough to not bend excessively around the nose during wear.
