Maryland Lumber American Log Loader with outrigger frame
cults3d
Parts to build an American Crane and Derrick log loader. There were many variations of these built by American that were used by logging operations all over north America. This model is patterned after a Maryland Lumber crane. If printing in G, you will need .032" brass rod, 3/64" brass rod, a tiny piece of 5/64" brass rod, 1/8" brass or styrene rod, plus Ozark miniatures logging tongs, and steam whistle This version was designed to ride on rails that were mounted on edges of log cars. The undercarriage was designed with outrigger extensions to the crane could travel from car to car without the need for a bridge track. The side and rear doors can be installed open or closed. The crane will mate up with my various logs cars that have rails. I've included both a one piece under carriage and one with separate wheels and axles so they will turn. Resize files for your scale as below: G - 175% O - 93% S - 70% HO - 50% The assembly illustration is for a Spruce lumber version but it is almost identical other than the door placement and the under carriage.
