Mary Poppins Parrot Umbrella Topper w/ Bluetooth speaker
thingiverse
A Parrot Umbrella Toaster, designed as a cosplay prop with the ability to hold a small Bluetooth speaker. Print Settings: Printer: Reach3D Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 20% Post-Printing: The two halves were joined over the umbrella handle using 3M double-sided foam tape. Electronics were secured inside with the same material. A small port was cut in the back to allow a stick to be inserted, turning off/on the Bluetooth speaker. The seam was then filled with epoxy putty and left to harden. Once set up, the power switch stick was stuck into place with silicone caulk and painted over, leaving a small "bump" that can be pressed to power the speaker. How I Designed This: The base shape originated from a 3D scan by William Van Valkenberg found here: http://www.123dapp.com/catch/Mary-Poppins-Parrot-Umbrella/4039284. This model was imported into blender, scaled to the correct size, and then re-meshed using the re-mesh tool for a more uniform mesh. The object was divided in half, and space was subtracted inside for electronics. The left side is an exact mirrored version of the right side mesh. The "fill" parts were created to securely attach the Bluetooth speaker cube.
