This model is based on a digital reconstruction of Michelangelo's Pietà. The sculpture is located in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Digital reconstruction was made as part of the Scan the World project and published on the MyMiniFactory website. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-pieta-in-st-peter-s-basilica-vatican-3796 https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-bust-of-mary-from-piet-in-st-peter-s-basilica-vatican-11423 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pietà My contribution is only to make such a cross-section of the model that it is possible to print it on a 3D printer without using supports. Connecting pins and holes can help align parts of the model when glued. Another cut of the same model was previously proposed by icefox1983: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2651164 The prints presented in the photos were made on a 50%, 37.5% and 25% scale (height: 14.9 cm, 11.2 cm, 7.4 cm). Additionally, the connection pins have been reduced by 0.4 mm in each axis (this may depend on the printer, platform and filament used). Recommended Cura setting (nozzle size 0.4): line_width = 0.4 layer_height = 0.2 layer_height_0 = 0.2 wall_thickness = 0.8 top_bottom_thickness = 0.8 speed_print = 40 infill_sparse_density = 8 (for scale 100%) , 12 (for scale 75%) , 16 ( for scale 50%,25%) - for front infill_sparse_density = 4 (for scale 100%) , 6 (for scale 75%) , 8 ( for scale 50%,25%) - for back gradual_infill_steps = 2 infill_pattern = zigzag
