Printable capacitor arrays for Marx Generator or other HV experiments. Several versions of the two-part 10x array, modeled with parts for creating adjustable spark gaps. Caps are polypropylene, they can be found among my previous uploads. As designed, driven by ZVS or other high voltage DC source and a flyback transformer. Depending on the input and caps used, arcs can reach several centimeters. The large arrays can be printed as single 40x banks or a mirrored 80x bank. No supports needed; center divider bridges just fine. Although stainless screws aren't ideal for the spark gaps, it's much easier to tune them this way. Once in place, the tips can also be sanded smooth for better performance. Not modeled are small sections of spring between the nutserts and ring terminals. They keep electrical contact between leads and screws. Insulation may be required in some spots if unwanted arcing occurs between components. The actual connection of leads is only suggested in the model by the placement of resistors. Caps charge in parallel through resistors and discharge in series when first gap reaches breakdown voltage. Not rocket surgery.
