Marwen ver1
thingiverse
Holly and I are teaching a two week intro to 3D printing, modeling and scanning at Marwen, an art center for under-served youth in Chicago. Our plan is to have the students design their own action figures initially based on a templates / designs we provide. This is the first iteration of Marwen - a bit blocky perhaps - but hopefully awkward enough that the students will want to improve upon it more. I'm not really happy with the hands either - so that will be addressed in ver2. Also in version two we will optimize the parts for FDM/FFF a bit more, use less support material etc. This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/4Bs6BUvfZ87 Instructions Print with support and you'll probably need a raft.
With this file you will be able to print Marwen ver1 with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Marwen ver1.
