Martian surface photogrammetry
sketchfab
Second Martian surface photogrammetry reconstruction accomplished using images captured by NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover. Based on 29 low-resolution macro images shot by the MAHLI (Mars Hand Lens Imager) on June 5, 2019, Sol 2427 of the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, at 00:37:53 UTC. I had to upscale one image by four times using EnhanceNET Machine Learning. Due to minimal overlap, generating a precise result in Agisoft Metashape (base mesh was 2.5 million polygons) proved extremely challenging. Post-processing involved mesh cleaning in 3DCoat and texture tweaking in Substance Designer/Painter. To preserve the content's integrity, I deliberately avoided over-de-lighting.
