Martian Machine Prophet

Martian Machine Prophet

After millennia of relentless excavation into his own flesh, little remains to hint that this creature swathed in tattered robes was once a human being. But by now, countless cybernetic augmentations and the necessities of war have reshaped its appearance into something more terrifying than even some of the enemies that plague the Imperium's worlds. Unfazed, neither the fearful glances of the citizens, the frayed state of his clothes nor the slow decay of vat-grown flesh on his replaceable biological components are anything but minor annoyances to him, while his true desires remain known only to himself. To unearth priceless relics from a Dark Age? To protect the forges of Mars and their allies from hostile invaders? Or perhaps something else entirely? The truth is, who can even say for certain if this biomechanical creature still remains a loyal servant of Mars or has long since succumbed to the Dark Gods' promises of Innovation and unholy Knowledge? This was an absolute blast to create, although I'm still struggling to figure out how to print such a monstrosity of fragile mechanical tentacles and countless tiny lenses. For the design, I drew inspiration from the Techpriest in the "Death of Hope"-Trailer 2 and 3D models from numerous sources that I've lost count of. If I forgot to properly credit any of them, please reach out to me so I can correct this oversight.
