Make Your PVC Marshmallow Gun Safer for Kids! Prevent Choking Hazards with a Breech Loader Design! First, Get Your Hands on a Marshmallow Gun Kit! You can buy the kit for $10 or make one yourself by visiting the Maker Faire 2012 and checking out HowToons' design. The cost will be half of what you'd pay for the kit! I chose to go for the DIY option and here's what you'll need: (1) 4ft length of 1/2" PVC (2) 1/2" PVC T joints, slip fit (2) 1/2" PVC slip fit caps (2) 1/2" PVC 90 degree elbows, slip fit Cut and Assemble the Parts in No Time! With some handy PVC cutters, you can complete this project in under a minute. Just follow the photo I uploaded to get an idea of how it should look. Next, Print the Parts and Attach the Breech Cover! Snap on the cover, press the breech onto the gun's end, slide open the cover, drop in a marshmallow, close the cover, and fire away! The mouthpiece makes the gun more comfortable to use, and the air path features prevent marshmallows from getting sucked back into your throat (ask me how I know this!). Design Notes: The breech was designed to be printed without support material. When printing, make sure the mouthpiece is at the top and set your print parameters correctly. The chamfer angle is 45 degrees.
