The Punta Scario Ship, unearthed in 1969 off Sicily's western coast, near Italy's Aegadian Islands, was identified by its Punic heritage marked on wooden planks. Carthaginian artisans crafted the keel and floor timbers that now form the basis of this precise model. Using a Faro Focus S70 to take 19 laser scans, researchers created a comprehensive 3D blueprint of the ship's remains, carefully registering each scan with Faro Scene. They then combined these scans with 54 photographs taken using Reality Capture software.
