Rocket to Mars is being developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a leading center for space exploration and research. The mission, called Artemis, aims to establish a sustainable presence on the lunar surface by 2024 and send the first woman and the next man to walk on the Moon. A critical component of this mission is the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket that will take humans to the Moon and eventually to Mars.
