Hello this is Patrick from Nairobi Kenya , The Mars gantry System have four independent wheel base for maximum stability and maneuverability on the tough terrain on Mars surface. The four primary arms are inflatable and are supported by special ropes and also have exoskeleton telescopic pneumatic hoses which are connected to the upper holding panel and the four wheel base, the function of the exoskeleton is to avoid the top panel from dropping down. When the system is fully inflated, the exoskeleton locks making the system firm.The Mars gantry System weighs a total of 300 kg and the top section weighs 50kg and can support a weight of up to 500 kg when fully inflated.Additionally the wheels can be swapped with chain wheels when transporting loads to more dangerous roots.
