Mars Exploration Rover
thingiverse
Revamp your Mars exploration with an innovative snap-together rover model! Featuring posable, adjustable parts and rotating wheels, it mimics real Mars Rover mobility. Although not autonomous, this intriguing DIY project requires no screws or glue (except optionally in certain areas). The latest version boasts fixes for plate 5, tighter axel holes, flipped panels for shiny sides on HBP prints, larger dimple panel tabs, and square-shaped solar panels. Printing instructions include suggestions to use a stepstruder due to narrow parts and to adjust tolerances according to your printer. Be prepared for tight fits and potential breakage of small bolts, which can be quickly replaced. Explore the openscad script's "layout" part for assembly guidance, and consider printing plates in yellow, black, and white for a vibrant appearance. The zip file includes 20 STL files representing 42 parts in total.
