Mars Desert Research Station Relief
thingiverse
The Mars Desert Research Station is a NASA facility near Hanksville Utah. This area is of personal interest to me as this is the site of the annual University Rover Challenge hosted by the Mars Society - an collegiate design team I was involved in throughout my University experience. These reliefs correspond to the competition areas from the years 2017-2019. The tops of some of the prints are angled. This is because the LiDAR dataset only covers the bottom half of the MDRS area, and that line is where the dataset ends. ERD: Extreme Retrieval and Delivery (Also the MDRS HAB area) ATY: Autonomy SCI: Science I'm currently working on a wiki to outline the process of generating these high-resolution relief maps: https://github.com/andrewvh4/Terrain_Maps/wiki
