Mars Base Project 2017

Mars Base Project 2017

thingiverse

Students in 7th grade astronomy class teamed up to create three-dimensional representations of the first lasting base on Mars, working together in pairs using Tinkercad's Share function. This collaborative effort allowed them to design and refine their ideas in real-time. It was my first time utilizing this feature with a class, and I'm pleased to report it worked seamlessly. Below are the 3D models created by students, accompanied by a sample lab report. This project is part of an annual tradition; last year's iteration can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:873532. To bring these designs to life, use a printer with brim and support settings enabled.
