The comb height on the Marlin XS7 rifle falls short of providing an ideal cheek weld when using a scope, leaving room for improvement. It's surprising that there's no provision for iron sights, given that the comb is at least 1/2" too low. Using photographs of tracings of the stock profile in Fusion 360, I created a design to enhance the rifle's ergonomics. This attachment secures to the stock using double-sided mirror tape to prevent any damage. The ideal additional comb height required for my rifle is 14mm, and this modification provides that. With my Leopold 3-9x40 VX-1 scope mounted, I've achieved consistent snap shots in the field while hunting, thanks to a perfect cheek fit that automatically lines up with the reticle.
