This mount is designed for a 1kg spool, but larger spools can be accommodated upon request with details on weight and size. Tested up to .3 layer height and .4 infil, a .PRT file is provided for customizing the fit to your frame using a digital caliper, with UGS NX 7.5 used for design. Laser cut pieces might be oversized or undersized based on your specific frame. The rod size is 8mm, but any rod will work. A thickness of 15mm is recommended to prevent vertical rotation slippage, with infill as low as .2-.3 acceptable but thickness should ideally be around 15mm. The total distance from the rear of the spool to the rear of the top frame is 18.5 cm, and from the absolute rear of the frame to the rear of the spool is 8.5 cm. The current model works well, with plans for future updates to eliminate stress maximums.
