Marker holder for edsal garage shelf with rivets
thingiverse
I created this makeshift holder for my sharpie to store it cap down, with a sliding fit into the rivet holes on my edsal/muscle rack garage shelf where I keep my printer. This tool could easily be adapted for other tools as well - its inner diameter is 14 mm (OD=16 mm), and it measures 60 mm deep while holding the tool at a slight angle of 15º from vertical. The bottom features a subtle vent to prevent items from getting jammed in place. I suspect that the company behind the shelves I used may offer similar products under different brand names, so if you're interested in finding one, make sure to look for models with a narrowest rivet diameter of approximately 7 mm and an inter-rivet hole distance of roughly 37 mm at their bottom edge.
